I started working with the mobile phone industry in 96 and they were already talking about consolidating devices back then. If you recall, the first real breakthrough was the camera phone..then blackberry, finally the smart phone.
It's cool that their visions came to fruition through innovation. Good stuff.
It's interesting though that Skype, a startup revolutionized the video phone. That's not what I would have expected.
