The TED talks are great and this is one of the best I've seen. I've often wondered about this - that it is difficult to get to the point where you understand exactly how things are made or done. Maybe this is why school has become boring to many kids. If you ask most people, for example, exactly what happens when we flick the light switch or how their automobile tires are made they have no idea. Yet children are always asking these types of questions. Most people who are asked by a child why we can't hold our breath longer are stumped. To say "...because we'll die" is not answering the question. I first realized this in reading the late Richard Feynman, the famous physicist, and one of the world's greatest teachers. He said if you can't explain a concept to an interested layman you didn't understand it. And he was a quantum physicist! Thanks for posting this video.
