Charles Ellis & Mark Cortazzo: Controlling Investment Costs

  1. Interesting show. I don't think DFA's advisors or other firms mentioned charge a flat fee. I wish Ms. Mack would have asked Ellis about that!
    There was a mystery shopper study last year that got the financial planning community in a snit. The shopper asked for advice and specifically about low cost index funds etc. and advisors instead recommended high price active funds. It would interesting to do the same with some of the firms mentioned.
    Still, as you can guess, I'm a huge fan of Charles Ellis and applaud the spreading of this philosophy.
