Atlas Shrugged

  1. Atlas Shrugged and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance are two books that changed my view of the world when I was looking for answers. I urge everyone to read them.
Ayn Rand was born in Russia and the government totally destroyed her family life, requiring her to wash her hair with kerosene and destroying her father's pharmacy.
On the other hand Paul Krugman, New York Times columnist, grew up middle class on Long Island. It really pays I think to know people's backgrounds in trying to understand their points of view.
Greenspan, former Fed Chairman, was a disciple of Ayn Rand's. Given his obsession with controlling the price of money and his beliefs of the free market principles of Rand is something I and many will never understand.

  2. I've read Atlas Shrugged and it definitely had an impact on me as well. I'll have to get around to reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance sometime!
