This video presents an interesting perspective on the average American's life. Makes me think of some of the most feared words in the English language: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
Problem is that lots of people are asking for this, so they're only getting what they wanted... Government has its problems but people ask for it, too. Overall it's a downwards cycle of dependence like a drug addict and his drugs.
