On the Road

I won't be able to post or comment much this week. I'm on a business trip to Anchorage. It is cold, snowy and grey here, but overall an enjoyable experience, and the people are very friendly.

  1. I love Alaska. My son lives there and I've been twice on camping trips. Flight to glacier on Denali (Mt. McKinley) was thrill of a lifetime.

Looks like the Captain Cook Hotel probably. Don't know any other buildings downtown that will get you a view like that.

I am amazed you say the people are friendly. Now in the dead of winter everyone is usually a "Grouch". Ha ha. Just kidding of course, but if you really think they are nice now you should visit in the summer when everyone is on their best behavior.

  3. Well, it's colder here than there right now so can't be too bad. ;)

  4. Those are stunning pictures! I've never been to Alaska, but that's one place I've always wanted to visit!

  5. Looks like Alaskans have their stuff together when it comes to plowing downtown streets. Here in Tulsa we're absolutely paralyzed after the big blizzard. Have a safe journey back.

  6. I was staying at the downtown Marriott hotel, not too far from the Captain Cook. Most of the people I've been meeting are either going to be reporting to me or working with me in some capacity, which may explain their lack of grumpiness.
